Warner Bros.’ blooper reel from 1936 w/Bogart, Cagney, Robinson (video)
Like 0 Retweet 0Humphrey Bogart has spoken dozens of my favorite lines. But this annual montage of bloopers from Warner Bros. films of 1936 includes what may be my new favorite.
The classic tough guy, in canted fedora, cradling both a drink and a lit cigarette in the same hand, mumbles his amused way through the line: ”So I think I’ll keep on sitting … right in the thing.”
I came across this montage, which also features Edward G. Robinson, Claude Rains, Bette Davis, Paul Muni and James Cagney, on Huffington Post today. But it lives on the YouTube channel of nicoley132, who apparently is one devoted fan of the classics…

A wonderful window into the past. These look like they were shot yesterday – not, yikes, seventy four years ago.

A delightful short film that proves time marched on in 1936.
